Tea pot cake

The tea pot cake was a real challenge for me because I don't have at the moment a ball shape pan. Actually the missing pans weren't a big deal because with the knife you can always create the shape that you want. The exciting part came from the size of the cake. I used 4" round pan. Imagine how small is this tea pot.
It was such a fun and thrill to decorate the cake. I was so impatient that I couldn't wait for the buttercream to take crust.
The basic is vanilla sponge soaked with fig syrup from a jam. There is a lovely vanilla cream between the layers.
